In a busy storybook town, Your Child put on a smart community-officer uniform. Today, the riverside fair would open.
At the fair, the first-aid box was missing from its table. Your Child asked the team to finish its safety check before opening.
A muddy shoe print lay beside the table. Your Child noted it, knowing a footprint did not prove someone had done wrong.
Your Child asked the volunteers when they had last seen the box. One remembered moving tables before the rain.
The missing box had a red label. Your Child looked for the same label on the list of packed supplies.
Someone blamed a delivery worker for the muddy print. Your Child asked everyone to wait while the facts were checked.
The worker explained that several boxes had been moved to keep them dry. A volunteer confirmed the move.
Your Child followed the supply list to a trolley beside the storage tent. Under a folded cloth was a red corner.
The first-aid box was on the trolley, safe and dry. It had been moved, not stolen.
The first-aid staff checked the supplies. Your Child helped update the location on the fair plan.
Before opening, Your Child noticed a chair blocking the wide entrance. The fair team moved it out of the way.
A small visitor could not find the accompanying parent. Your Child took the child to the staffed help point and informed the responsible team.
The staff checked details privately and reunited the family. Your Child smiled as the child held the parent's hand.
With checks complete, the fair gates opened. Music, colourful stalls and happy visitors filled the square.
The volunteer apologised to the delivery worker for the earlier guess. Your Child thanked them both for helping find the truth.
At sunset, Your Child looked at the officer badge. Its best meaning was listening, fairness and helping the town feel welcome.
